Rakdos by user8087004

Format: Commander

Commander: Rakdos, Lord of Riots

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Rakdos, Lord of Riots acts as a giant cost-reducer: the deck pings opponents early, then uses that life loss to deploy Eldrazi and Demons for a fraction of their cost. The primary plan is combat-and-discount, with a compact Heartless Hidetsugu + Dictate of the Twin Gods + Pariah's Shield one-shot as the fastest finish. Secondary paths are a four-Demon Liliana's Contract victory and annihilator beatdown from Ulamog's Crusher and Bane of Bala Ged. The deck is commander-dependent: without Rakdos, its 33-land base and high curve leave the large spells stranded. It is a midrange demon/Eldrazi acceleration deck with one collapse-the-game kill. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built around Rakdos's trigger.
