Deck overview

This Grixis deck commanded by Don Andres, the Renegade is a high-power theft midrange engine that turns opponents' libraries into its primary resource pool. Powered by format-ceiling fast mana and top-tier unconditional tutors, the deck quickly establishes early impulse-theft engines like Laughing Jasper Flint, Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, and Dauthi Voidwalker. Once Don Andres, the Renegade enters the battlefield, stolen creatures gain +2/+2, menace, and deathtouch, while stolen noncreature spells generate tapped Treasures to sustain mana velocity. The deck applies mounting pressure through high-end threats like Etali, Primal Storm and Brainstealer Dragon, backed by an elite suite of free countermagic and removal including Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Deadly Rollick. It closes games by Turn 6 through combat dominance, life drain, and overloaded Cyclonic Rift.
