Deck overview

This Grixis list is a Villain-tribal connive engine helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. Each combat Doom grants a Villain menace and a connive, and any discard of one or more lands drains each opponent for 2. The 99 stacks extra connive triggers - Leader, Super-Genius, Ultron, Unlimited, Prowler, Clawed Thief, Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord, Kang, Temporal Tyrant - so the deck loots several times a turn. Nonland discards grow the team (especially under Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon and Glorious Purpose); land discards, replayed with Crucible of Worlds or recast via Containment Construct and Moonstone, Harsh Mistress, turn Doom into a repeatable drain. There are no infinite combos. Wins come from a menacing combat board, burst turns off Living Laser or Loki, the Deceiver, and accumulated land-discard damage. Doom is the drain engine and a free combat connive, but the tribal plan still functions if he is removed.
