Hobbits by Grymm33

Format: Commander

Commander: Samwise Gamgee

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Samwise Gamgee leads a Selesnya Food-token deck that wins by converting Food into overwhelming board presence. The primary plan is to generate many Food and Halfling tokens, then finish with Craterhoof Behemoth, Moonshaker Cavalry, or Overwhelming Stampede. The secondary path is a compact infinite combo: Rosie Cotton of South Lane plus Scurry Oak makes arbitrarily many Squirrels, while Nuka-Cola Vending Machine plus Peregrin Took makes infinite Treasures and Food. Samwise is the engine: every nontoken creature entering creates Food, and sacrificing three Foods recurs historic cards. There is no hidden commander; Peregrin Took and Rosie Cotton are the two key engine pieces that enable the combo finishes.
