Deck overview

This deck is a flavorful Grixis villain showcase helmed by Kefka, Court Mage. Its game plan focuses on midrange attrition, utilizing an efficient suite of two-mana artifacts and Medallions to accelerate into Kefka by Turn 4. Kefka's repeatable discard and draw ability drains opposing resources while keeping your hand stocked. In the mid-to-late game, the deck transitions into dropping powerful Grixis haymakers such as Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh, Lord Xander, the Collector, and Sauron, the Dark Lord. These threats systematically dismantle opposing boards and libraries while presenting substantial combat clocks. While the deck boasts high individual card quality and relentless discard pressure, it intentionally foregoes instant-speed countermagic, low-cost protection spells, and infinite combos. This makes its strategy honest, highly interactive, and reliant on grinding out opponents over multiple turn cycles.
