lavinia take 2 by user5809011

Format: Commander

Commander: Lavinia, Azorius Renegade

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Lavinia, Azorius Renegade leads a slow Azorius control/stax deck rather than a combo deck. The primary plan is to layer mana taxes and attack taxes - Lavinia, Dovin, Hand of Control, Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and similar pieces - while answers and mass wipes clear threats. The deck then finishes with one of two non-combat win conditions: Approach of the Second Sun, which is re-drawn with Windfall after the first cast, or Azor's Elocutors' filibuster counters. Jin-Gitaxias cards and Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir give card advantage and timing protection. There is no hidden commander; the Jin-Gitaxias legends are top-end card advantage rather than a build-around.
