Deck overview

This Bant midrange deck leverages +1/+1 counters and proliferate mechanics alongside thematic Final Fantasy X cards to establish an overwhelming combat presence. Led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian, the deck focuses on curving out low-cost creatures that generate or modify counters, such as Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte and Incubation Druid, before casting Tidus on Turn 3. Once assembled on Turn 4, Tidus's Cheer ability shifts counters and draws extra cards while proliferating across the battlefield. The deck compounds this board advantage through heavy hitters like Wakka, Devoted Guardian, Forgotten Ancient, and Sin, Unending Cataclysm. Combat finishes are accelerated using trample and double strike enablers like Duskshell Crawler and Chocobo Knights. A robust suite of reactive interaction and protection spells, including Inspiring Call, Damning Verdict, and Farewell, keeps the board stable while grinding down opponents across successive combat steps.
