Chatterfang - Squirreled Away - Bloomburrow Commander by user8532871

Format: Commander

Commander: Chatterfang, Squirrel General

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Chatterfang, Squirrel General runs a token-and-sacrifice engine. Every token source - Squirrel Nest, Chitterspitter, Deep Forest Hermit, Prosperous Innkeeper - is doubled by the commander, generating extra Squirrels that feed draw (Skullclamp, Plumb the Forbidden), drain (Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, Mirkwood Bats), and a final Craterhoof Behemoth. The deck's secondary path is a slower attrition loop: sacrifice Squirrels to Chatterfang's removal, then rebuild with Hazel of the Rootbloom, Garruk, Cursed Huntsman, and Springheart Nantuko. Garruk Relentless's back face acts as a backup Craterhoof. The commander is a multiplier and utility removal rather than an all-in engine, so the deck tolerates Chatterfang being removed but loses a large share of its speed and token ceiling.
