Deck overview

This deck is a colorless artifact aggro-stax build commanded by Iron Spider, Stark Upgrade. The strategy accelerates mana in the opening turns using fast colorless rocks and lands like Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and Ancient Tomb to deploy cheap artifact creatures and utility pieces. Iron Spider serves as both an anthem engine and a repeatable card draw outlet, distributing +1/+1 counters across the board with vigilance and converting surplus counters into card advantage. The deck controls the tempo of the table by deploying asymmetric lock pieces such as Winter Orb, Static Orb, and Karn, the Great Creator, breaking parity through colorless mana generation and static counter growth. As the game develops, scalable payoffs including Steel Overseer, Lux Artillery, Forsaken Monument, and Walking Ballista turn the wide artifact board into a decisive clock. Protection from Cryptothrall and Defense Grid shields key permanents, while All Is Dust provides a one-sided reset against colored permanents to clear the path to victory.
