Deck overview

Maelstrom Wanderer is a ramp-and-cascade value deck that aims to reach eight mana as fast as possible, then use its commander's double cascade to deploy two large threats ahead of curve. The commander's static haste turns each cascaded creature into an immediate attacker. Secondary paths lean on Genesis Wave, Improvisation Capstone, and Etali triggers to keep refueling, while Finale of Devastation serves as a tutor and mass-pump finisher. A Hullbreaker Horror loop with Sol Ring and Arcane Signet provides an alternate mana engine. The deck is slow to assemble but explosive once it reaches critical mass; removal or counters on Maelstrom Wanderer is the main way to slow it down.
