Marchesa by user6500573

Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Queen Marchesa is the early monarchy engine, and the deck is built as a Mardu monarch/aikido control list. The primary plan is to become the monarch quickly, draw an extra card every end step, and let the six Courts plus Garrulous Sycophant grind the table down from upkeep triggers. Secondary paths are token combat from Inkshield, Court of Grace, and Court of Embereth, and aikido blowouts that reflect a single huge attack back at its owner. There is no hidden commander; the other legendary creatures are role-players. Every win line shares the crown, so holding the monarchy or forcing opponents to fight each other through goad effects is the real game.
