Deck overview

This deck is an Esper spellslinger and combo deck commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The primary game plan pairs defensive pillowfort enchantments with efficient card advantage and a lethal two-card infinite combo. Y'shtola rewards casting noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater by dealing 2 damage to each opponent, gaining 2 life, and drawing a card at each end step where 4 or more life was lost. The deck utilizes early ramp artifacts to establish its mana base, then deploys protective enchantments like Ghostly Prison and Authority of the Consuls to stall creature attacks. It searches for Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank using tutors like Enlightened Tutor and Grim Tutor. Once Bloodchief Ascension accumulates three quest counters, any life loss or mill triggers an infinite loop that empties all opposing libraries and life totals in a single turn. Backup plans leverage heavy mill engines with Bruvac the Grandiloquent and Psychic Corrosion to overwhelm opponents through steady attrition.
