Deck overview

This Sultai Elf/Faerie deck is a tribal value engine helmed by Maralen, Fae Ascendant. Every Elf or Faerie that enters - starting with Maralen herself - exiles the top two cards of an opponent's library, and once enough bodies are on the battlefield Maralen can cast one of those cards for free each turn. The plan is to flood the board with evasive Faeries and Elf tokens, stack lords like Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor, Elvish Archdruid, and Scion of Oona, and turn Maralen's growing cast-from-exile threshold into free spells. Wins come from wide, lorded combat, Obyra, Dreaming Duelist's drain triggers, and the extra-turn blowout of Notorious Throng, especially when Maskwood Nexus makes every creature a Rogue. This is a midrange value deck: it shrugs off single-target removal but is more vulnerable to mass wipes and anti-trigger hate.
