Reclaiming Gruul

Format: Commander

Commander: Chishiro, the Shattered Blade

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Red-Green "modified matters" aggro deck built around Chishiro, the Shattered Blade. Every Aura or Equipment that enters creates a 2/2 red Spirit with menace, and at each end step every modified creature - equipped, enchanted, or carrying counters - grows. The plan is a token-voltron hybrid: cast Chishiro on curve, chain cheap Auras and Equipment to build a wide menace swarm around one heavily supported attacker, then close with double strike (Fireshrieker, Sword of Vengeance, Twin Blades) and Akki Battle Squad's extra combat. Kami of Celebration turns each modified attack into chain card advantage, while Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin and the attack triggers on Mage Slayer and Unquenchable Fury supply secondary reach. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through overwhelming combat pressure, incremental engine growth, and the fact that Equipment persists through creature wipes.
