Deck overview

This Orzhov list is an aura-enchantress "goad-and-voltron" midrange deck built around the two Killians: the commander Killian, Decisive Mentor, who turns every enchantment entering into a tap-and-goad and every attack from an Aura-clad creature into a card, and Killian, Ink Duelist in the 99, a de facto hidden commander who discounts every Aura by {2}. Discount permanents - Starfield Mystic, Transcendent Envoy, Danitha Capashen, Paragon, Pearl-Ear, Imperial Advisor - let the deck chain multiple Auras per turn while Sram, Senior Edificer, Kor Spiritdancer, and Pearl-Ear, Imperial Advisor refill the hand. The finish is layered: a voltron attacker wearing Eldrazi Conscription or All That Glitters, an end-step drain from Eriette of the Charmed Apple, a flying token swarm from Sigil of the Empty Throne and Archon of Sun's Grace, or a Bolas's Citadel activation. Replenish and Mantle of the Ancients rebuild the entire aura stack after a wipe.
