Deck overview

This Grixis deck is helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, focusing on Villain tribal synergies, combat connive triggers, and discard payoffs. The game plan centers on deploying efficient Villain creatures on early turns, casting Doctor Doom on turn 4, and utilizing his combat trigger to filter cards, grow attackers with +1/+1 counters, and drain opponents whenever lands are discarded. Mid-game scaling relies on powerful engines such as Leader, Super-Genius, Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord, and Ultron, Unlimited to generate tokens and extra card advantage. Discard payoffs like Archfiend of Ifnir, Cool but Rude, and Spider-Man, New Champion convert card cycling into board wipes and direct damage. The deck establishes a critical threat around turn 6 with mass buffs like The Squadron Sinister or graveyard reanimation via Behold the Sinister Six!, closing the game through evasive combat damage within two response cycles. It offers resilient midrange gameplay with multiple backup engines.
