A Thousand Cuts - Power 4 [Primer] by travelcurry

Format: Commander

Commander: Isshin, Two Heavens as One

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Isshin, Two Heavens as One leads a Mardu token swarm that turns every attack trigger into double value. The plan is simple: ramp into Isshin by turn three, deploy a scaling token engine such as Krenko, Hero of Bladehold, Anim Pakal, or Adeline, then attack each turn to generate an overwhelming number of bodies. The primary kill is batch drain from Impact Tremors, Warleader's Call, General Kreat, and other enter triggers, which removes all opponents at once. Winota, Joiner of Forces acts as a hidden commander, flipping free Humans off the top in doubled bursts. Akroma's Will and Boros Charm finish games or save the board from a wipe. The deck can goldfish around turn seven but is heavily dependent on keeping Isshin and the attack step open.
