Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-black control and reanimator strategy piloted by Baron Helmut Zemo. The game plan revolves around leveraging cheap black interaction and discard spells to trigger Baron's connive ability, rapidly filling the graveyard with high-mana-symbol cards. Once 15 black mana pips accumulate in the graveyard, Baron attacks and uses Boast to cast up to three massive game-altering spells for free, such as Doomsday Excruciator, Pox Plague, and Zodiark, Umbral God. Supported by top-tier draw engines like Necropotence, A-The One Ring, and Bolas's Citadel, alongside dense targeted removal and graveyard hate, the deck exerts overwhelming resource attrition on opposing players before closing the game out through decisive combat damage and devotion-based life loss.
