Deck overview

This is a Mardu "volatile damage" deck helmed by Piru, the Volatile, built around a single elegant premise: deal damage to your own creatures and convert it into table-wide life loss. The engine runs on damage-redirect permanents like Stuffy Doll, Brash Taunter, Boros Reckoner, and Phyrexian Vindicator, amplified by force-multipliers such as Repercussion, Arcbond, Dictate of the Twin Gods, and The Rollercrusher Ride. Board wipes like Blasphemous Act and Chain Reaction double as finishers when they slam into an indestructible redirector. The primary kill is Heartless Hidetsugu plus a damage doubler - halving every life total and doubling it to lethal. Piru herself is a bonus damage source on death, but the deck's real power lives entirely in the 99. A Bobblehead subtheme provides mana, card selection, and token generation, while Mavinda, Students' Advocate and Sevinne's Reclamation offer recursion.
