Deck overview

This Rakdos Spellslinger deck is commanded by Kuja, Genome Sorcerer // Trance Kuja, Fate Defied and focuses on dealing massive, table-wide noncombat damage. The primary strategy involves casting Kuja and supporting Wizard pingers to steadily create Wizard tokens. Once four Wizards are in play, Kuja transforms into Trance Kuja, doubling all damage dealt by your Wizards. Chaining cheap burn, cantrips, and removal spells triggers widespread life loss across all opponents simultaneously. The deck features strong functional redundancy among its pingers, including Coruscation Mage, Guttersnipe, and Firebrand Archer, augmented by damage multipliers like Harmonic Prodigy and Gratuitous Violence. It also carries a compact infinite mana and storm loop using Storm-Kiln Artist and Haze of Rage to close out games rapidly. While highly explosive, the deck is reliant on maintaining creature permanents and lacks dedicated stax elements.
