Commander: Sheoldred, the Apocalypse

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Sheoldred, the Apocalypse is a mono-black control-drain engine that turns every extra draw into life and every opponent draw into damage. The primary path is to land Sheoldred early, add symmetrical draw effects such as Howling Mine, Font of Mythos, Seizan, and Teferi's Puzzle Box, and grind opponents down while using that lifegain to trigger Sanguine Bond/Vito/Exquisite Blood loops. Secondary lines use Peer into the Abyss, Underworld Dreams/Fate Unraveler burst, and Torment of Hailfire or Gray Merchant as finishers. The deck has no tutors, so assembly is natural-draw dependent; commander dependency is moderate because the commander amplifies the engine, but life-gain combos and devotion drains can still win without it.
