Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive burn and combat-trigger strategy led by Squall, Gunblade Duelist. By naming zero as Squall enters the battlefield, the deck weaponizes a dense suite of zero-power and zero-toughness creatures, such as Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh and Ornithopter. Each combat, swinging these low-stat creatures triggers Squall to shoot direct noncombat damage at the defending player. The list accelerates this clock by granting Squall infect through cards like Phyresis and Glistening Oil, or multiplying its damage using Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Cultist of the Absolute. Asymmetric disruption pieces such as Meekstone, Ensnaring Bridge, and Slaughter the Strong exploit the deck's low power ceiling to freeze opposing threats while leaving your own attackers unaffected. Without fast mana or tutors, the deck relies on steady on-curve development and dense functional redundancy to assemble its engine on Turn 3, establish lethal pressure by Turn 6, and eliminate the table by Turn 8.
