Deck overview

This deck is a focused Gruul Voltron build centered on Wolverine, Best There Is. Wolverine features a potent static ability that doubles all damage he deals, meaning he requires only 11 combat damage to achieve the 21 commander damage lethal threshold. The deck supports this aggressive game plan with an enchantress card advantage subtheme, pairing cheap Auras with draw engines like Enchantress's Presence and Setessan Champion to keep resources flowing. Efficient ramp accelerates Wolverine onto the board by Turn 2 or 3, after which high-impact modifications like Runes of the Deus, Ancestral Mask, and Bear Umbra turn him into an immediate lethal threat. Because removal relies heavily on fight and bite spells, the deck dominates opposing creature boards while pushing through combat damage with trample. Win conditions revolve around rapid, sequential commander eliminations or explosive board sweeps via Chandra's Ignition.
