New Untitled Deck

Format: Commander

Commander: Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Tergrid, God of Fright leads a mono-black resource-denial deck. The primary plan is to land Tergrid early and then resolve symmetrical spells-Smallpox, Pox, Dark Deal, Mindslicer-so every opponent sacrifice or discard turns into permanents for you. The secondary path is a compact lifegain-drain combo: Exquisite Blood with any 'Sanguine Bond' effect (Sanguine Bond, Vito, Bloodthirsty Conqueror, or Enduring Tenacity) creates an infinite loop once a single point of life loss occurs. Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast provide the mana to make Torment of Hailfire or Death Cloud lethal. The Lantern face is a useful back-up enabler, but the deck is built around the front face's theft trigger; without it, the plan shifts to tutors and the drain combo.
