Keeper of the Gates! by jellypaws

Format: Commander

Commander: Niv-Mizzet Reborn

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a five-color midrange value deck built around Niv-Mizzet Reborn and a twenty-Gate mana base. The commander is a command-zone card-advantage engine: every entry reveals ten cards and keeps one spell of each guild pair, which is exactly how the 99 is constructed. A flicker package of Soulherder, Brago, King Eternal, and Nahiri's Resolve recasts that trigger, while Niv-Mizzet, Supreme jump-starts two-color instants and sorceries from the graveyard. The Gates backbone fixes five colors, fuels Baldur's Gate and Crackling Perimeter, and enables a hard win through Maze's End. Combat closes via General Ferrous Rokiric Golems, anthems like Knight of New Alara and Mirari's Wake, and the other Niv-Mizzet bodies. Debt to the Deathless is the late-mana drain. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins by assembling Gates, stacking fair damage, or draining the table once mana is absurd.
