Gwen - Spider Queen by Sdrex

Format: Commander

Commander: Gwen Stacy // Ghost-Spider

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jeskai "cast-from-exile" value deck helmed by the transforming Gwen Stacy // Ghost-Spider. The front face is a cheap impulse engine - exile the top card on entry and play it while she's in play - while the back face is a flying, vigilant, hasted 4/4 that grows with every land or spell played from exile and spends counters to exile more fuel. The 99 is packed with redundant engines: Eruth, Tormented Prophet, The Reality Chip, Crystal Skull, Isu Spyglass, Birgi, God of Storytelling // Harnfel, Horn of Bounty, Tavern Brawler, and Count on Luck. Token generation from The Lost and the Damned and Pia Nalaar, Consul of Revival builds a board, and the deck closes with an Akroma's Will alpha strike, an exile-cast Delayed Blast Fireball, Ensnared by the Mara, Passionate Archaeologist pings, or Descent into Avernus's accumulating damage. Hidden commanders here are Eruth and the two top-of-library artifacts, each replicating the commander's core ability.
