Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Group Slug and forced-draw strategy led by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The main game plan accelerates into Sheoldred by turn 4 and follows up with symmetric draw artifacts like Teferi's Puzzle Box, Font of Mythos, or Seizan, Perverter of Truth. Because Sheoldred deals 2 damage to opponents whenever they draw while gaining you 2 life, every card drawn becomes a major life swing. Under Teferi's Puzzle Box, opponents lose 10 to 14 life each round and lose their sculpted hands, leading to table elimination by turn 8. Redundant drain cards like Underworld Dreams, Fate Unraveler, and Bloodletter of Aclazotz speed up this clock, while Peer into the Abyss offers an explosive knockout. The deck also includes an infinite backup win condition in Exquisite Blood paired with Sanguine Bond or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. The deck trades interaction for raw pressure, as it lacks stack answers and artifact removal.
