Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Food Aristocrats and Midrange strategy helmed by Ygra, Eater of All. Ygra serves as the central engine, turning all other creatures on the battlefield into Food artifacts. This transforms every creature death into Food sacrifice triggers, rapidly swelling Ygra with +1/+1 counters while powering heavy token and drain synergies. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using low-curve dorks, rocks, and land ramp, aiming to deploy Ygra on Turn 4 alongside sacrificial fodder. Once assembled, the deck pressures opponents along two axes: massive lethal commander damage amplified by evasion or trample, and systemic life drain from aristocrat payoffs like Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Bastion of Remembrance. High-synergy token engines like Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Camellia, the Seedmiser, and Experimental Confectioner provide endless fuel, while cards like Viridian Revel generate immense card advantage off opposing dying creatures. The deck delivers resilient, compounding board states and lethal finishes by Turn 7.
