Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Gruul combat stompy strategy commanded by Xenagos, God of Revels. The primary plan leverages dense low-cost ramp to cast Xenagos on turn 4, immediately followed by large, high-impact threats on turn 5. Xenagos provides indestructible durability and grants immediate haste while doubling the target creature's power, effectively converting any 6+ power beater into an immediate lethal threat. Game-ending finishers include one-shot infect with Blightsteel Colossus, table-wide combat damage from Hydra Omnivore, and asymmetric burn via Chandra's Ignition. The deck compounds this damage through extra combat phases like Relentless Assault and Full Throttle, re-triggering Xenagos for quadruple power. Card advantage is driven by power-scaling draw spells like Rishkar's Expertise and Greater Good, refilling hands with 10+ cards off a single attack. While susceptible to instant-speed spot removal on attacking creatures and lacking hard stack interaction, the deck presents overwhelming, resilient combat pressure that closes out tables rapidly by turn 7.
