Format: Commander

Commander: Zaxara, the Exemplary

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Zaxara, the Exemplary leads a Sultai X-spell deck that turns every {X} spell into a Hydra token while ramping toward huge mana. The primary plan is to accelerate into massive X spells, using Zaxara's tokens as both blockers and a Craterhoof Behemoth army. Secondary paths include infinite mana via Freed from the Real on a mana dork, then dumping that mana into Exsanguinate, Torment of Hailfire, or Finale of Devastation. The deck also has a hidden commander in Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle, which serves as a giant mana source and can become a 12/12 finisher. Kruphix, God of Horizons banks mana for a single explosive turn. The deck is built to use Zaxara's token generation and mana ability as the core engine, with X-spell payoffs as the finish.
