Morphing time by Bamboogie

Format: Commander

Commander: Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer deck built entirely around the face-down mechanic, leveraging morph, manifest, and disguise to generate relentless card advantage. Kadena's cost reduction makes the first face-down creature each turn essentially free, and its draw trigger turns every such creature into a cantrip. The deck aims to flood the board with 2/2s, then turn them face up for powerful value effects (counterspells, removal, lock pieces) or pump them into lethal threats via Beastmaster Ascension and Germination Practicum. The primary win condition is combat damage through a wide board of face-down creatures boosted by anthems, with a secondary lock route using Brine Elemental and Vesuvan Shapeshifter to skip opponents' untap steps. The deck is a synergy-driven value engine that wins through incremental advantage rather than a fast combo.
