Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Superfriends control deck built around Nicol Bolas, the Ravager and a dense suite of planeswalkers. Its core game plan revolves around surviving early turns using efficient mana rocks and cheap interaction, sweeping opposing creature boards, and deploying high-impact planeswalkers. Once established, proliferate engines such as Ichormoon Gauntlet and Flux Channeler accelerate loyalty counters toward decisive ultimate abilities. Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God acts as the central linchpin, copying all planeswalker abilities across the board while stripping opposing resources and threatening an instant game-loss ultimate. Late-game mana scales into overwhelming finishers such as Torment of Hailfire or value storms powered by Bolas's Citadel. While the deck excels at long-term attrition and asymmetric value, its reliance on sorcery-speed threats and vulnerability to aggressive creature swarms demand disciplined sequencing and timely board wipes to maintain control of the table.
