Deck overview

Cloud, Midgar Mercenary is a mono-white Equipment tutor and trigger doubler. The primary plan is to play Cloud on turn two, fetch one half of a three-card combination, and use a free-attach effect (Sigarda's Aid, Ardenn, Codsworth, or Hammer of Nazahn) to equip Colossus Hammer without paying equip costs. With Genji Glove attached, Cloud doubles its extra-combat trigger, creating two additional combat phases and letting one huge double-striking commander kill all three opponents with 12 commander damage per player in a single turn. Secondary paths are Equipment-value beatdown with Swords of Fire and Ice/Feast and Famine, plus recursion from Forge Anew and Sevinne's Reclamation after a wipe. Ardenn functions as a hidden partner-style attach engine.
