Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Food/treasure combo engine that uses deathtouch control and dredge. The commander, The Serpent Society, is a removal piece and poison threat rather than the engine; the deck is built around Peregrin Took, Experimental Confectioner, and Nuka-Cola Vending Machine, which form a draw/token loop that fuels Revel in Riches. Backup plans include Mortal Combat and a midrange deathtouch/recursion shell. Ygra and The Gitrog Monster act as hidden commanders for the Food and graveyard paths. Tutors and dredge keep the two win conditions accessible, while the commander's ward and death-trigger sacrifice effect slow opponents just enough for the engine to take over.
