Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color midrange strategy commanded by Leonardo, the Balance and Michelangelo, the Heart. The game plan establishes Michelangelo early to attack and generate Food tokens, which repeatedly triggers Leonardo to distribute +1/+1 counters across your entire board. The deck accelerates this growth with counter multipliers like Corpsejack Menace and Hardened Scales, while token engines like Academy Manufactor and Rosie Cotton of South Lane rapidly build board presence. Combat evasion from Baxter, Fly in the Ointment, Wave Goodbye, and Leonardo's 5-color trample and menace activation turns accumulated counters into lethal combat damage. While the deck boasts high internal synergy, broad board development, and solid spot removal, it relies on unhurried multi-turn combat steps and lacks instant-speed stack protection, making it susceptible to well-timed sweepers.
