Deck overview

This deck is a five-color midrange value build centered on Niv-Mizzet Reborn with Jegantha, the Wellspring as a declared companion. The construction prioritizes a broad distribution of exactly two-color guild spells while adhering to Jegantha's single-pip mana restriction. The game plan focuses on fixing all five colors by Turn 4 using dedicated mana dorks like Faeburrow Elder and Jenson Carthalion, Druid Exile, then deploying Niv-Mizzet Reborn on Turn 5 to draw three to five cards in a single burst. From there, the deck converts card advantage into battlefield dominance using token multipliers such as General Ferrous Rokiric, stat amplifiers like Knight of New Alara, and flying beaters like Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient and Dragonlord Dromoka. A versatile suite of guild removal spells—including Assassin's Trophy, Anguished Unmaking, and Dovin's Veto—disrupts opposing game plans while Taunt from the Rampart breaks board parity to close the game across multiple combat rounds.
