Deck overview

This Bant deck is commanded by Chulane, Teller of Tales, functioning as a high-velocity creature storm and engine combo list. The core strategy accelerates mana early to deploy Chulane on Turn 4, immediately turning every subsequent creature spell into card draw and land acceleration. Self-bouncing creatures such as Shrieking Drake and Whitemane Lion act as repeatable draw spells, which quickly escalate into infinite or near-infinite loops when paired with mana-generating creatures and Intruder Alarm. The deck finishes games decisively by drawing into Laboratory Maniac or by converting a wide battlefield into lethal combat damage via Craterhoof Behemoth. A premier suite of free counterspells, proactive silencers like Grand Abolisher, and blanket protection spells like Teferi's Protection ensure the combo can be defended with minimal mana overhead.
