Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis midrange build centered on Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin. The strategy revolves around converting symmetric discard triggers into asymmetric card advantage and table-wide life loss. Early turns focus on developing mana and establishing discard-sensitive permanents such as Waste Not, Liliana's Caress, or Harmonic Prodigy. Once Kefka enters on Turn 5, his trigger forces each player to discard while drawing multiple cards for each unique type discarded. Blink enablers like Displacer Kitten, Essence Flux, and Ghostly Flicker repeatedly trigger Kefka to rapidly strip opposing hands. The deck closes the game around Turn 7 by pairing massive wheel effects (Wheel of Fortune, Windfall) with life-drain engines like Psychosis Crawler, activating Tinybones, Trinket Thief, or casting mass reanimation spells like Rise of the Dark Realms. A strong suite of free and efficient countermagic defends this game plan while disrupting opposing win attempts.
