Kefka, Court Mage (Reanimator) by jml202

Format: Commander

Commander: Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis deck helmed by Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin is a discard-fueled reanimator and value engine that turns forced discards into cards, tokens, mana, and stolen permanents. The front face taxes every player on ETB and attack, then refills based on discarded card types; the back face (Kefka, Ruler of Ruin) converts opponent life loss on your turn into raw card draw after a costly transform. The 99 backs this up with dense reanimation (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Necromancy, Dance of the Dead, Exhume, Victimize, Living Death), discard payoffs (Waste Not, Bone Miser, Geth's Grimoire, Monument to Endurance, Tergrid, God of Fright), and draw-damage finishers (Niv-Mizzet, Parun, Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, Niv-Mizzet, Visionary, Psychosis Crawler, Vilis, Broker of Blood). Primary wins come from reanimated haymakers (Archon of Cruelty, Valgavoth, Terror Eater, Sheoldred, Whispering One) and recursive draw-ping loops rather than a single fragile two-card kill.
