Deck overview

Atraxa, Praetors' Voice commands an aggressive yet resilient Poison Proliferate control shell designed to eliminate the entire table through non-combat poison accumulation. The deck establishes early poison vectors using efficient evasive infect creatures like Blighted Agent and Bloated Contaminator or unpreventable spells like Ichor Rats and Prologue to Phyresis. Once all opponents carry initial poison counters, Atraxa, Praetors' Voice enters on Turn 4 alongside compounding proliferation engines including Evolution Sage, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and Inexorable Tide. Rather than needing to grind through 120 combined life or navigate clogged boards, the deck increments poison counters simultaneously across all opponents. High-impact Praetors like Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider provide asymmetric disruption by shutting off opposing ETB triggers and counter strategies, while premium defensive spells like Heroic Intervention and Teferi's Protection shield the board until the final lethal proliferation trigger resolves.
