Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated exhibition build built around a radical theme: filling almost every nonland slot with combat damage prevention spells. Commanded by Atraxa, Grand Unifier, the deck runs over 65 distinct Fog variants spanning the history of Magic. However, this commitment to the theme comes at the cost of essential deckbuilding fundamentals. Running only 18 basic lands, no mana rocks, and no mana ramp, the deck operates under a severe mana bottleneck. In a typical game, it easily neutralizes combat damage from aggressive creature decks for several turns, but it struggles to produce the mana required to cast its commander or establish any proactive board presence. It completely lacks answers to non-combat strategies, combo lines, and alternate win conditions, making it an entertaining novelty deck designed solely to prevent combat damage rather than efficiently close out competitive multiplayer games.
