Commander: Fin Fang Foom

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-red land-destruction deck built entirely around Fin Fang Foom's copying trigger. Roughly thirty of the deck's instants and sorceries destroy a land or artifact, and every one of those casts is copied - so one Stone Rain kills two lands and makes Fin Fang Foom a 5/7, then a 9/11, then a 13/15, and so on. The denial plan is backed by a burn package: Dingus Egg pings for every land that dies, Aria of Flame and Guttersnipe convert every spell into damage, and Rite of the Dragoncaller provides a dragon army. Storm-Kiln Artist and Magda, the Hoardmaster turn copied spells into Treasures, while copy engines such as Double Vision, Pyromancer's Goggles, and Arcane Bombardment multiply the destruction. The primary win is 21 commander damage from Fin Fang Foom, with the burn package chipping away at anyone left. It is a linear, telegraphed plan: break their lands, then kill them with a giant flying dragon.
