Deck overview

This deck utilizes Raiyuu, Storm's Edge to execute an explosive equipment-driven Voltron game plan centered around chaining combat phases. By deploying Raiyuu alongside heavy-hitting equipment such as Colossus Hammer, Blackblade Reforged, or Two-Handed Axe, the deck leverages Raiyuu's ability to untap and attack a second time whenever it attacks alone. Cost-cheating pieces like Puresteel Paladin, Forge Anew, and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist bypass steep equip costs to enable lethal commander damage as early as Turn 4. A deep tutoring suite ensures consistent access to key armament, while free protection spells like Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver keep Raiyuu safe from targeted removal and sweepers. Backup combat threats such as Aurelia, the Warleader and an infinite combat loop with Godo, Bandit Warlord and Helm of the Host ensure the deck can close games even if Raiyuu is disrupted.
