Deck overview

This Simic Landfall deck, built around Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, leverages a massive 43-land base and dense green ramp package to out-scale opponents through overwhelming mana and card velocity. The primary plan accelerates into Aesi on Turn 5, using its additional land drop and landfall draw triggers to churn through the library into high-impact payoffs such as Avenger of Zendikar, Rampaging Baloths, and asymmetric board wipes like Scourge of Fleets and Whelming Wave. Victory is achieved via wide token swarms and giant sea monsters attacking across Turns 7 and 8. While the deck boasts immense late-game momentum and engine resilience, it trades away fast-mana speed and compact infinite combos for classic big-mana stompy inevitability, making it vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers.
