Deck overview

This deck executes a Rakdos group-slug strategy led by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The primary game plan deploys cheap, passive damage sources such as Underworld Dreams, Fate Unraveler, and Kederekt Parasite on early turns. Once Valgavoth enters the battlefield on Turn 4, these continuous damage triggers ensure that opponents lose life on each of their turns. This repeatedly triggers Valgavoth, growing the Demon into a lethal flying threat while drawing up to three extra cards per turn cycle. On Turn 5, the deck accelerates its clock using damage multipliers like Dictate of the Twin Gods and Archfiend of Despair. Punisher cards like Harsh Mentor and Rampaging Ferocidon restrict opposing life gain and activated abilities. The deck finishes games on Turn 7 through combined passive life drain and evasive commander combat.
