Format: Commander

Commander: Nekusar, the Mindrazer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Nekusar, the Mindrazer is the engine and main punisher of this draw-trigger deck. The primary plan is to cast Nekusar early behind a signet, then resolve wheel effects-Windfall, Reforge the Soul, Dark Deal, Time Reversal-so every opponent draw becomes damage. Redundant permanents like Underworld Dreams, Spiteful Visions, Fate Unraveler, and Razorkin Needlehead stack that damage, while Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph double or triple each ping. Kess, Dissident Mage functions as a support recursor, not a true hidden commander. Secondary paths use incremental draw (Howling Mine, Teferi's Puzzle Box, Geier Reach Sanitarium) and Peer into the Abyss to finish one player. The deck wins through repeated noncombat damage rather than combat.
