Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and cheat deck commanded by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary strategy focuses on manipulating the top of the library with cards like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, Ponder, and Doom Whisperer to set up game-ending odd-cost spells. Deploying Yennett on turn 4 allows the deck to attack on turn 5, immediately casting catastrophic bombs such as Void Winnower, Breach the Multiverse, or Toxrill, the Corrosive for free. Complementary control pieces such as Extinction Event, Promise of Loyalty, Fatespinner, and Perplexing Chimera continually restrict opposing development while Yennett generates steady card and mana advantage. Alternate cheat enablers like Marvo, Deep Operative and Master of Predicaments provide resilient backup routes if the commander is removed. The deck closes games around turn 7 through overwhelming combat damage and asymmetric board locks.
