Deck overview

This deck is a classic Grixis Wheels and Group Slug strategy commanded by Nekusar, the Mindrazer. The plan accelerates into Nekusar by Turn 4 using efficient 2-mana artifacts, then exploits symmetrical draw triggers to punish opponents whenever they draw or discard cards. Starting on Turn 5, mass wheel effects like Collective Defiance, Whirlpool Warrior, Magus of the Wheel, and Game Plan turn each player's hand into heavy burn damage. Redundant damage multipliers such as Spiteful Visions, Megrim, Phyrexian Tyranny, and Psychosis Crawler ensure the deck can close the game even if Nekusar is answered. The deck supports this game plan with a robust suite of instant-speed counterspells and spot removal to disrupt faster threats and protect key turns, reliably eliminating the table across two response cycles by Turn 7.
