Commander: Scion of the Ur-Dragon

Deck overview

Scion of the Ur-Dragon is a five-color Dragon tutoring engine. The primary plan is to ramp into Scion, then use its {2} activation to place a Dragon into the graveyard and attack as a copy of that Dragon. The usual kill is Ancient Gold Dragon plus Dragon Tempest for a huge burst of damage, or Hellkite Charger plus Ancient Copper Dragon to loop combat phases. Secondary paths include hardcasting heavy Dragons, cheating them with Kaalia of the Vast, and using Zur the Enchanter (a hidden-commander-style enabler) to fetch Dragon Tempest, Animate Dead, or Black Market Connections. The deck has enough incidental treasure and recursion to survive mid-length games and turn a single Scion attack into a chain of extra combats.
