Format: Commander

Commander: Ares, God of War

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Ares, God of War leads a low-to-the-ground Rakdos combo deck. The primary plan is to accelerate with rituals and tutor into a two-card creature combo: Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker plus Zealous Conscripts, or Dualcaster Mage plus Molten Duplication. Ares is a value engine rather than the win condition; his attack-death trigger returns sacrificed attackers like Rograkh and Blood Pet to hand for repeated sacrifice value. In the 99, Rograkh acts as a hidden commander-style 0-mana role-player, feeding Skullclamp, sacrifice outlets, and Ares recursion. The deck also uses Ad Nauseam, Necropotence, and Sneak Attack to find or cheat pieces, and can convert infinite creature tokens to damage with Goblin Bombardment.
